AION 2 Unlock Milestones

Every fixed gate on the road to endgame: system unlocks by level, quest-gated features, the level-45 wall, and the Conquest item level ladder — all dual-source verified.

How Progress Gates Work in AION 2

Two gates run the whole game side by side: character level (1 to 45 at global launch) unlocks systems, and aggregate item level (the sum of your equipped gear's item levels) gates Conquest dungeon tiers from 700 to 3,000. Level is story-driven and predictable; item level is the grind you direct. The milestones above are every fixed gate on both tracks, in order.

Level gates are one-time; item level gates are forever. Every stone you spend serves the second track.

Wings Unlocked

Early gate

Flight is quest-gated, not level-gated: complete the early lake quest — "The Power in the Lake" for Elyos or "The Being Beneath the Lake" for Asmodians — and the game equips your first wings.

Enhancement System

Early gate

Enhancement unlocks at character level 9.

Crafting & Gathering

Early gate

Crafting, Gathering, Substance Morph, Item Extraction and the Daeva Pass all unlock at character level 10.

Legion System

Early gate

The Legion system opens through an early-mid story quest: "Renewed Resolve" for Elyos or "Buried Atrocities" for Asmodians.

Mid gate

The Expedition dungeon family opens through the story quest "Wind Breeze Merchants" (Elyos) or "Daeva in a Dream" (Asmodians).

Abyss Supply Requests

Early gate

Abyss Supply Requests unlock at character level 25.

Daily Dungeons

Mid gate

Daily Dungeon and Unknown Fissure unlock together at character level 30.

The Level-45 Wall

Endgame gate

Level 45 is the global Season 1 cap — and it opens the entire endgame at once: Abyss, Arena and Battlefield, Nightmare, Sanctuary, Transcendence, Ascension Trial, Market, Season, Season Mission, Rank, Arcana and World Level.

Mid gate

Level 45 and 700 aggregate item level.

Milestone data reflects the global launch build (Season 1, level cap 45) as of October 5, 2026. Korean-version content above level 45 — including Conquest Tier 6 at 3,800 item level — is not in the global build yet and is deliberately not listed. Gates are data-mined from the global client and cross-checked across two databases; per-boss mechanics arrive as the community verifies them on live servers.
