Global vs Korea: What Is Actually Different

The AION 2 version gap explained: level cap 45 vs 50, the Season 1 content baseline, balance differences, Brawler, mobile, and why Korean guide numbers may not match global.

Quick Answer: How Far Behind Korea Is the Global Version?

Roughly a year. Korea and Taiwan launched November 19, 2025 and have run through multiple seasons (Season 3-era content and the Chapter 1 "Lands of Sand and Snow" update with the Brawler class); the global version launched October 5, 2026 as a modified Season 1 build — Korea's accumulated balance and quality-of-life changes included, its post-Season-1 content excluded.

Rule of thumb: if a guide mentions level 46-50, Brawler, or a season number higher than 1, it describes the Korean version.

The Three Differences That Matter

The Conquest ladder numbers are the practical trap: Korean guides cite Tier 6 at 3,800 aggregate item level — that rung does not exist globally. Global players climb 700 → 1,400 → 2,100 → 2,800 → 3,000 and stop.

Balance: Same Game, Different Tuning

Global Season 1 ships with a year of Korean balance changes — class tuning, dungeon adjustments, QoL — which means a Korean guide's difficulty description of an identical dungeon may not match what global players meet. The reverse also holds: global launch-day impressions are the only tuning that matters for global play, and per-boss strategy is being verified on live servers as this is written.

What This Site Does With the Gap

Everything on this site describes the global build only: the 45 cap, the eight-class roster, the five-tier Conquest ladder. Korean-version facts (Tier 6, Brawler, mobile) appear solely as context, clearly labeled. The gap is also the roadmap: Korea's current season is a preview of the global future, on roughly a three-month season cadence.
