AION 2 Chanter Class Guide

Role: Support

Weapon: Staff

Learning curve: Moderate

Role in the Party

The force multiplier: the Chanter strengthens the whole party with enhancements rather than topping any single meter β€” its contribution shows up in everyone else's numbers. That makes it welcome in almost any composition, and in a game with 200+ dungeon variants the buff slot recruits almost as reliably as the healer.

Playstyle

Buff uptime is your rotation: keep the party's enhancements running, patch damage where the Cleric cannot reach, and add respectable melee damage of your own. It is support play for people who still want to swing the staff β€” self-sufficient enough to solo comfortably.

In PuG Conquest parties the Chanter's buffs are often the difference between meeting a DPS check and missing it. Say so in chat; it buys patience.

Leveling to 45

Comfortable solo leveling thanks to self-buffs and melee sustain, and group content treats you as a flex slot that fits any party missing either support role. The road to the level-45 cap is uneventful in the best way.

Progression Notes

Staves follow the standard grade ladder and enhancement rules β€” the grades page maps Unique staff item levels, and the enhancement guide's expected-cost tables apply as-is.
